"So this is also my view; marriage is about procreation." Really? So people who are fertile can't get married and women who reach menopause have to get a divorce? That makes sense.
I`m sorry to say this, but you`re retarded. Marriage exists in every single culture and pre-dates the bible and even writing itself. If you weren`t so ignorant you`d have realised by now that marriage has nothing to do with your religious belief. It existed before your religion began and will exist after it ends, so please keep your religious idiocy to yourself and drat off.

'Why do I have to always always always redefine my terms?`
Dunno. Why is that?
`So this is also my view; marriage is about procreation.`
So you would limit marriage to fertile couples? Anyone past child-bearing age or infertile should be entitled to a civil union but they can`t call it a marriage because then you get all confused and have to redefine your terms?
The church did not invent marriage. The church does not own marriage. I have no church, no religion and no god, bishop or prelate has my regard but I`m still married.
The council of American Bishops (or the RC church or Imam whatever) has as much relevance to my relationship and marriage as the X Factor judges have on my taste in music.
""Why do I have to always always always redefine my terms?"
You don't. The rest of us just don`t give a f.uck what "your terms" are. Two people you`ll never meet don`t need to live their lives in accordance to "your terms".
So you and your bronze aged fairy tales, and your leaders in their silly hats can define it anyway you see fit, just keep it out of the laws. There are lots of appropriate places for bigotry and stupidity in this country, the legal system isn`t one of them.
Lets try this. I will say EXACTLY what you said, but replace one word. You tell me what you think:
"I have no problems with blacks or any two people who want to enter in an agreement for all other civil purposes including but not limited to property rights, power of attorney issues, medical issues, and more. I say, have at it and I'd think that would make life less difficult for all of us.
So in the end, are we just arguing a definition of a word? In a sense, I say yes. And I say it`s important. Why do I have to always always always redefine my terms?"
Now if I said that in all seriousness and then told you I wasn`t a racist would you believe me?
Same thing. Welcome to being a bigot! Acceptance is the first step.
