Yes it's interesting - an observation of female social behavior.

That`s how women do. I have rarely met a woman who when complimented says `thank you` usually the reply is some self effacing or even bigger compliment to me in return.

When i reply with just `thank you` to a compliment. There is ,sometime, that shortest little pause with slight narrowing of eyes (translation - well ain`t we self satisfied)

I'm sure this was a powerful message to the women involved, but one has to admit that the artist was likely told what the concept was. Thus he knew he was expected to make a homely picture for the "self portrait," and a much nicer one with the group sketch.
Still, I admit to being impressed that Dove has stuck to their original concept, and is doing things that don`t just advertise their products.

I've found a lot of this Dove campaign to be contrived and hypocritical, but this was really great.
