@peakingo - Regardless of what you meant, it comes off like a douchebag hipster music snob comment because that's EXACTLY what they say. I hear it every time I`m at my local record store and the only reason I don`t tear one of those hipsters a new one is because the two owners of the store happen to be good friends of mine and I don`t want to kill any of their customers.
The dumbest thing I ever heard was just this weekend. As I was browsing through the Hardcore/Punk 7" section I overhear two hipsters talking about Howlin` Wolf. My brain nearly exploded when one said, "I don`t understand how people can listen to this. I mean, it`s great music, Howlin` Wolf is a legend and an amazing blues musician. I love all of his songs but he still sucks."

peakingo, just an aside, here. I would give country music more of a try if it didn't sound like country music. I probably only like, at most, five songs in the entire genre, and I`ve generally figured out that I don`t like most of the rest of it. So if someone suggests to me a country song, I will tell them that if I happen to come across it, I`ll try to listen to it at least once. But I`m not going out of my way to look it up just because they give it glowing reviews. I just can`t stand country music. This is my response to your thing about getting past one`s comfort zones.
"You don`t have to like it, but you`re wrong." is just rude and stupid to say. But as I`m smart enough to not take it as fact, I`ll take it as opinion. I love Daft Punk, but others may not.
whodat, calm down dude. It`s unnecessary and useless to be so hostile.
Now I suggest you both just go listen to music you like and stop ripping eachother apart :D

Well.. the caption on the video seems to say something different than the caption for this post. But if it's what it appears to be.. though it sounds interesting, Daft Punk should only be doing things with Daft Punk!
