HG: "What I have a problem with is when they start talking about guns or gay rights or any other causes that are not their fight"

Who are you to be telling them what is or isn't "their fight"?

Sorry, but NPOs that get government dollars shouldn`t then be allowed to use that money to lobby or contribute to political campaigns or issues advocacy. That`s straight up cronyism and patronage, it shouldn`t be tolerated.

Churches have a special right under the 1st amendment and government can`t restrict their speech or what a church advocates for or against.

"If you say churches should be taxed if their preachers advocate from the pulpit, then PP should loose it's NPO status and be taxed and treated as the FOR PROFIT business that it really is."

Planned Parenthood advocate and lobbies publicly for the causes that are important to them, women`s choice, women`s health, etc. That is like green peace lobbying for environmental issues or the salvation army lobbying for poverty issues. Tons of non profits lobby for their cause.

If churches were lobbying for freedom of religion I would march right along side them. What I have a problem with is when they start talking about guns or gay rights or any other causes that are not their fight or telling their parishioners who to vote for. That is the line in my opinion.

"Most people going to planned parenthood aren't going for an abortion."

Au contraire, PP did a record 333,964 abortions last year and abortions generated $155.5 million for them over and above the $538.5 million they get from the government. Their total income was $1.2 billion in 2012.

In short, They don`t need government support at all. In fact, they should be taxed because they advocate and lobby politically.

If you say churches should be taxed if their preachers advocate from the pulpit, then PP should loose it`s NPO status and be taxed and treated as the FOR PROFIT business that it really is.

"citycolour, why is preventing the killing of an innocent unborn life moving backwards you drating retard?"
Because that innocent unborn life will either end up on a dumpster, be raised by parents who did not want it, or be given for adoption shortly after it's born. Or, you can abort it before it has a will of it`s own. Will it know? Nope. Will it feel fear? Nope. Will it feel pain? Nope. Is it even conscious? Nope. So how is it different than a vegetable? It isn`t.
