Judging from your comments here, you are the one in need of education.

most of it is just common knowledge. effects of drug use are pretty easy to find and there are a poo ton of studies on it. if you find it amazing that other people know about it maybe you should spend more time educating yourself.

@LordJim - I have to agree with you about waiting until you're older. During my formative years I would only occasionally take a few puffs here & there at parties but never really got into habitually smoking. That all started after I got out of the Marines, it was a nice release for me and also helped me through some difficult times. (Recent studies have shown it`s better than most commonly prescribed meds to treat the anxiety, aggression and insomnia associated with PTSD) I still have a very good memory and if I`ve noticed anything, it seems that now my memory is better than when I was in my teens/early 20`s. I too know a few people who have been smoking since they were teens and are dumber than a box of rocks, but some of them were like that before they even started smoking, now they just have an excuse as to why they`re idiots.

@Pinkminx, I'm the same. Though it was once tolerable for me at some point it started affecting me adversely with increased disuse. So much so that the last time I smoked I fell into mortal fear over a conceived spiritual illness that was plaguing me, by my perception, to death. Hash, on the other hand, does not affect me in this way though it has been some years since I`ve casually partaken in either.
