@5Cats, It's nothing to do with your political views.
It`s had to with the fact that every time you`ve commented to me on this thread you`ve literally misunderstood me each time. And you can`t seem to separate fact from fiction.
This is a satire, if take what he says as literal then your an idiot.
You made claims that he`s insulting ethnic people and that he`s a liberal gun propaganda speaker. This is a satire not something to be viewed as truth.
Also as a side note. I`m surprised you disagree with is first point. Criminals do have guns and more importantly they have fully automatic ones. And for the record wives and children do die from guns in the house in greater numbers verses houses without guns. Those are facts.

Midknight-"You see a knife is used primarily in kitchen activities."
Just as I see a gun is used primarily in self-defense situations.
You see, you were arguing DESIGN. And a knive was originally designed was TO KILL. It also happens to be handy for other things...just like a gun. But YOUR logic deems you must divest yourself of any knife in your possesion.
Midknight-"Guns were not responsible, no but they could not have happened on such an extreme level if they were not in the picture."
Unfortunately, guns ARE in the picture. They EXIST, therefore they will always be in the picture.
What is your grand idea to eliminate guns and remove possibility that criminals (who, by definition, break laws) will get them?
I can manufacture a basic gun in my shop in a couple of days. It's not that difficult. How do you plan to stop that?

A person's responsibility keeps getting called in to the picture. The question is MeGrendal and 5Cats do you think by allowing some responsible people the ability to kill with the press of a trigger is worth the batman shootings for example? Guns were not responsible, no but they could not have happened on such an extreme level if they were not in the picture.
Hope to hear from you both. It`s nice to hear another side.

Unfortunately I have to disagree with you MeGrendal. You see a knife is used primarily in kitchen activities.
A gun's only purpose, is yes propelling a projectile through the air, but why does it do that? The answer is to kill. Unless you are going to tell me you use it to flick the light switch on and off, the guns only use is to kill and defend and by defending killing, let us not deny that fact.
To 5Cats - thank you it`s good to be here. I understand your point about it being another inanimate object, but still I have to press that it is designed to kill no matter how you dress it up. Therefore from this I can never personally glorify a design that solely exists to kill. You used an example of never using it, which I can completely seeing happening. But you misunderstand that this is ENTIRELY not the point. The point is the gun is only a threat and can only be used in self defence because it is designed to kill and killing is nothing to be glorified or respe

Midknight-"argument is that funs are designed to kill not defend. It is their only purpose. I can never support an instrument that's only purpose is to kill."
Then throw away all of your knives, as they were designed for the only purpose to kill.
Your biases aside, a gun is designed for the sole purpose of propelling a projectile in the direction it is pointed in as fast and accurate way as possible given the limitation of that particular device.
What one is using that threat of the projectile is totally up to the person in control of the gun. Be it to harm someone or to convince them to perform, or not perform, a certain act.
