Ouija boards are owned by Parker Bros., the boardgame manufacturers. It was just a parlour game

Parker didn't buy the rights to the Ouija board until the mid 60`s, but it was patented more than 70 years earlier. Of course it`s marketed as a "parlour game," you can`t really come out and claim it will "talk to the dead" can you? Yeah, it`s called a toy but it`s based on ancient beliefs going back thousands of years... so who knows?

I personally have a hard time buying into the whole concept, but I should add that all my life my own mother swore that she and her mom had seen the Ouija board spell out answers on it`s own on several occasions, with no one touching it. Regrettably, I never witnessed it myself though.

I will agree with some of this. But not the ouija board. I've personally seen and heard stories of the marker on the ouija board moving without being touched. Those are some freaky things, in a really bad way.

Ouija boards are owned by Parker Bros., the boardgame manufacturers. It was just a parlour game for people getting roostertailed and not a meathod of speaking with the dead. {You knew it was your husband who kept pushing it to spell sex!} But churches denounced it just like they did Harry Potter books. So spiritualists took it up and it's gotten a mythos all it`s own.

So, just a factoid for you.
