I don't understand the all the hatin`. Us Catholics are called to fully respect, love, and provide pastoral care for all, including gays. We are against gay marriage mainly because it doesn`t fulfill the marriage concept of procreation. That`s it. Perhaps we should categorize for all a concept of `civil union` and leave marriage defined for religion.

i honestly don't get it. Good parents are good parents, and I am pretty sure it has nowt to do with gender. Marriage is either a religious thing, in which case every religion should be allowed to define it differently and it would have no status in law, or it is a state thing- in which case why do religions object to bits of it???
