Cops Torch Cabin In Christopher Dorner Stand Off. Cops gave orders to set the fire. Should police have tried to `take him alive` so he could stand trial for his crimes?

Let's all forget just for the moment that this guy declared war on a police department as well as certain civilians.
Let`s also forget for the moment that instead of trying to come out of the cabin when it caught fire he apparently took the coward`s way out and ate a bullet.
So let`s suspend reality for a moment and say that he came out and surrendered. What happens then? Does he find a lawyer who puts on the good old insanity plea?
The guy said he wasn`t going to be taken alive. He basically set himself up for `suicide by cop` from the beginning. He knew full well what he was doing and I`m pretty sure after all the sensationalism he got from the media knew what the outcome would be when he was finally caught.
@Markust-I never tried to `spin` that you supported him in anyway. I simply pointed out that all the crap flying around on tv and the net may have helped influence your gut feeling. Sorry but this guy had a death wish and knew exactly how thin

Those police did equally horrific crime and should do the time for a murder. Revenge is still against the law no matter how thick the blue-line is.
Ya killing the guy that was shooting at them the horror!!! You're a little slow huh?
