"was ANYTHING actually taught to you about black people"

To be honest, when I learn about an inventor I don't really give a s.hit whether he or she is black, white, asian, or whatever. It doesn`t affect anything. Skin color doesn`t matter or define a person. I know Edison was white because he is so ubiquitously famous that I have seen pictures of him, not because I learned about him during "white history".

Dude, I am totally on board with black people making tons of contributions to society. The point is, I can say white people invented phones, cars, planes, televisions, computers, the internet, electricity, light bulbs, etc. Your list had things like adjustable shackles and folding chairs. Those are good things and contributions to society, but certainly not things I couldn't live without. So when you use words like "most" it is ridiculously hyperbolic.

OldOllie: again, do you want me to break out the whole list? that isnt going to happen. you are all big boys. look it up yourselves.

the point of those simple things on the list was the fact that those are things around the house. you may have missed that the first 3 or 4 times i said it.

did you guys actually do black history month learning DURING black history month in school? was ANYTHING actually taught to you about black people OTHER than the fact that we went through slavery and jim crow?

Wow, CB! Folding Chairs? A work cabinet? Ventilated shoes? I never even realized. I guess that really puts our guys to shame -- guys like Aristotle, Hipparcos, Gallileo, Copernicus, Kepler, Newton, Leibnitz, Franklin, Maxwell, Bell, Marconi, Farnsworth, Watt, Fulton, Kelvin, Faraday, Tesla, Edison, Ford, Curie, Roentgen, Einstein, Plank, Bohr, Heisenberg, Gell-Mann, Fermi, Avogadro, Hubble, Guth, Oppenheimer, Fleming, Salk, Pasteur, Reynolds, Boltzman, Compton, Lister, Watson and Crick, Shockley, Berners-Lee and Cailliau -- I could go on, but I doubt that I'll ever be able to beat that folding chair thing.
