I love eating out & I am not put off by the whole tipping thing. If you don't like to tip, stick with fast food & leave it at that. Otherwise, suck it up & quit being such a f*cking tightwad. Wait staff are human beings, each one is different, & they have varying strengths & weaknesses. It was the snide note about God that was just uncalled for. The pastor was just being a rude b*tch. I`m sure she`s had better days, but this was not one of them. I feel for the person who lost her job; it`s never fun getting getting fired.

Writing in a tip of $0 doesn't mean there was no tip. Just going to throw this out there, I also record a tip of $0 but I leave a tip in cash on the table especially if I have received good service. That way the waiter/waitress can decide what to do with it.
Some restaurants (in Canada at least) put all the tips into a single fund and divide it up among all the staff at the end of the night including the chefs and dishwashers. I base my tips on the quality of the service so why should my tip go to the dishwasher if the waitress went above and beyond?
Also, there are tax implications. Having worked minimum wage through high school and university, I would have killed to be able to pocket my income without declaring it on my tax forms. Most wait staff declare considerably less on their taxes than they actually make.

Wow, the inability of some people here to read the article, or pay attention to the image, or have any basic comprehension beyond the headline always amazes me.
She IS a pastor and she crossed out the mandatory tip and wrote in 0.
