@OldOllie why not? I thought that picking on Obama would be right up your alley. Don't tell me that as you don`t like the person, you completely disregard whatever they have to say in fear that you might find yourself agreeing with some things. That would be a shame. You know I normally disagree with most of your rants, but I read them. And I really, really, really hope that AvatarJohn has no relevance ever in this world. Things are buggered up as it is...

"People get their news from many different areas now."
And most follow the Profit > Truth motto, yes? You even point out that some "news sources" are highly partisan: that's for a reason, eh? It`s how they expecct to make money!
Do I know the answer? Heck no! People have been bigoted and biased since the dawn of time!
Governments and "powers that be" have tried to control information and re-write history for just as long!
Untill "telling the truth" becomes both fashionable AND profitable? We have to sift through the bull-poop on our own, regardless of sources.
Remember The Maine! (an example of a lie, repeated by the government AND the media, that had dire consiquences, from 1898. Government lies are nothing new, eh?)

"Still, the MSM is the main reason people think the way they do! Like it or not, it forms USA's opinions on things more than truth, facts or other "crazy ideas". Until "the media" changes the way it operates? Other things are less likely to change, which is something I think Stone is trying to say. Profit > Truth"
You give the so called "MSM" more credit than it deserves. People get their news from many different areas now. And if you are talking about cable news the ratings pretty much show that not that many people are watching. And if they are they are already partisan and should be ignored.

@listypoos: Al Gore got the "peace prize" too... something stinks in Sweden, eh? And it's not all those herring they eat...
The main thing is: the "anti-war" protests ended, but the wars are BOTH still going on, and a 3rd one for a while there too! Gee, I wonder why...
Lolz: Obama even followed Bush`s Iraq Withdrawl plan to the day.
@markust: Paragraphs, eh? But I know what you`re saying. Still, the MSM is the main reason people think the way they do! Like it or not, it forms USA`s opinions on things more than truth, facts or other "crazy ideas". Until "the media" changes the way it operates? Other things are less likely to change, which is something I think Stone is trying to say. Profit > Truth
