Thanks. Most people have no idea how to handle ice or judge thickness. Not only could that guy (probably) not swim, but the slippery ice was bent down under the water preventing him from getting anywhere near the rescuers. I grew up in Wisconsin, and I know how dangerous ice can be.
He's just lucky he didn`t fall through a solid portion, only to have it realign over him. They wouldn`t have found him until spring....
