I-A-B Midnight Movie: Fire And Ice [1983, Uncut]. Classic 1983 animated sci fi / fantasy film. A bit early for a midnight movie, but what the hell, it`s a weekend.

Starchaser...best film when I was growing up. First one to be truly violent with deaths and all. So many cartoons had lots of shooting, but no one ever getting hit. My brothers and I were like HOLY S***! But also a fun movie. Dag Dabrini rules.

Sarah of Borg, if interested in that era's style, go to YouTube and search for STARCHASER THE LEGEND OF ORIN
It`s another 80`s classic. It`s on there in 3D but I wouldn`t bother with that, low quality 3D from the 80s....shudder. Also look for a 70s gem WIZARDS

I confess I haven't seen too many 1980s animated movies like this, and I`m very impressed by the animation. This may actually be worth watching.

@Gerry1: "Anime" was poorly drawn in the 80's it`s true. But now-a-days (since about 2000) the average Anime uses the same (rotoscope) techinques too! Their character movement is spot-on accurate now! Even for characters with tentacles & stuff... Horse Heads... Gravity-defying boobs... & etc!
The problem with wesstern rotoscope movies is that it looks hyper-real, but it`s still "cartoony". The worst of both worlds, eh?

@ TuffGhost - 'Cause I`m not a moderator and don`t have a choice.
@ BeardofZeus - In the 80s animation was moving towards hyper-realism. Having actors do the part and drawing over them to get ever movement right. Then Anime came along and everything switched to cheeper, poor quality animation.
