I just told you I voted for Bush. I vote based on the guy, not the letter next to his name. My guess is you have never cast a vote for a D for president in your life and never will. You never responded to my little civics lesson about how socialism and us being a republic have NOTHING to do with each other.

So if only that meddling government hadn`t bankrupted those auto companies they`d have been fine? Maybe you should do a little research first. The reason they had problems initially was because they focused on gas-guzzling SUVs and trucks due to the relatively high profit margins of those models at the time. Then the energy crisis happened in 2003, the price of fuel skyrocketed, and people started buying less of them, and then their debt overwhelmed them. The government was actually the voice of reason telling them to make models that are better on gas. Geez you can be thick-headed.

HG: The government owns and runs many companies that are in bankruptcy, including stock in GM and Chrysler. One guy speaking in hypotheticals about ideal situations does not equate to "GM has tried repeatedly to buy back it's stock from the government" which is what you said.

I do blame bush a lot. Because it is true: tinyurl.com/apneffn Just to reiterate I voted for Bush the first time. He was atrocious and that isn`t a biased opinion. 2. There are lots of things Obama has done that I don`t like and lots of things I want him to do that he hasn`t done. The problem is we never have those conversations because you guys say things like we are becoming socialist without giving a SINGLE example of a company that the government bought under Obama. Or sensationalizing non-stories like benghazi. Or attacking Obama for things Bush did or initiated or caused, like GM bailouts or unemployment. So I have to constantly defend him.
