I don't really know if there is much of a party difference in America except for who gets their money from where. I am sure that there are many examples of liberals in America making bad decisions. But I think the video was talking about how to find yourself through looking at how other people live and the work they do, atleast in the beginning of the whole empathy shift.
Also, way to go on the helping people, I think that is pretty cool 5cats.

I don't think you need everybody in the world to see everyone`s strenths as much as to consider the cost of things. To get people, and I am from the U.S. so that is the only place that I can speak for, to understand that they willingly and enthusiastically perpetuate a cycle of destruction that only benefits them so far as the stuff they have. It is this understanding of the people that make the stuff that would re-establish some kind of humanity to people in America and get them to ask who made this under what conditions and for how much.
Or you could just not care and keep living in the psychological paradise of America and all of its brand names.

@davymid: Where's all the "empathy" for my position? Why do those liberals give me a 1 without even glancing at the material?
Could it be that *gasp* they`re all hypocrites?
If the world were run strictly on "majority rules" you know full well what would happen. 1984 would look mild compared to the "liberal hell" we`d find ourselves in.
There`s a reason Conservatives like "rule of law" while liberals like MAKING more laws (and then getting to chose which laws apply to whom...).
True Fact: A Liberal (Canadian Political Party) member proposed some jack-arsed law which potentially could make many thousands of average Canadians `criminals`. When asked about it he replied: "Oh that won`t happen! It won`t be enforced!"
(He just wanted to "feel good" about "doing something" get it? Typical Liberal.)

@QZ: I'm a walking "emapthy machine"! I have to stop and think things through or I`d "try to help" all day long!
Example: I don`t give money to beggers (anymore). Why? Because #1 they probably earn more begging than I do working, #2 there`s TONS of shelters & support for every needy person in my city & #3 they`ll likely spend it on pizza and beer. I found the "campsite" of a group of professional beggers (3-4 of them and a dog, they travel form city to city & beg) literally beer cans in every direction & take-out boxes everywhere... must have been $30 worth in deposit, but they were too lazy to take them back! (10 cents a can, eh?)
Just one example, but ALL the people who support their lifestyle THINK they`re "helping" them. Sorry, they "feel they are helping".
