well of course they can give them away. They only sell each lego piece for $0.25-$1.00 each. 3D printers will make it easy for kids to get their lego fix.

I remember having my first real LEGO set. I won a weekend for my family beside a ski resort (well, my mom used to fill out a ticked for all in the family, i have won a car that way too when i was two..) and i got a mechanical LEGO set.. At that point all i had was big bunch of the ordinary blocks, secondhand from my cousins.. The day when i got that set.. what a day.. Finishing it up by watching 007 - For your eyes in the hotel movie channel, it only that had come out about a year before.. Was suppose to be a sleep at that time and my parents were VERY strict of what i could watch... So we kept the volume way down, parents on the next room.. :)
