Lee Atwater worked in political strategy at a time when fact checking was slow. His brand won't work in a day when facts are checked in near real time Political Spin

Ha ha, so cutting taxes (which actually benefits low-income people more than it does 1%'ers) translates into code for "n*gger n*gger n*gger?"

This guy wasn`t even `right` as a racist republican strategist. The vote in question had still been going to the democratic party up until years very recent in precedence to this recording.

Actually they just bribe the NAACP, Jesse Jackson, AL Sharpton, and the Urban League, among others. Little if any of that money ever goes to actually help poor people.

I asked a black guy from St.Louis, inner city, where he went to get help for food, shelter, etc. He said, "The St. Patrick's center." I asked, "What about the Urban League or the NAACP?" He said, "They don`t do sh|t for anybody."

" They also donate large sums of money to 'urban` groups to get, and keep, them on their side"

They supported underprivileged, poor communities (urban!) and got their just rewards, namely votes.

See what I did there?
