Debate polls are some of the most useless polls. Almost always the respondents are a stratified sample, and random polls typically provide the most accurate results.
CNN, which had Ryan winning, surveyed 381 registered voters who had participated in a previous CNN poll, watched the debate, and agreed to be interviewed.
The CBS poll, which had Biden winning, was conducted using the GfK KnowledgePanel, a representative Internet panel, to interview 431 self-described "uncommitted" voters who watched the debate.
Basically they may provide insight, but I doubt their actual authenticity.

"I think Biden did a pretty good job of refuting Ryan's assertions, but I can see why people would be turned off by his debate demeanor. That`s just Joe Biden being Joe Biden."
Probably. And I could be a bit biased. I was just so excited to see a little fight after that snoozer of a debate Obama gave. It will be interesting to see what happens tonight.

I will say this: it was the most entertaining debate I`ve seen since the days of Ross Perot/Admiral Stockdale.
