I'm with HobyAndy. Never worked for me. But reading and traveling really expanded my vocabulary and helped me become very articulate.

I use sparknotes to bypass reading the books for English class that bore me (Wuthering Heights). The more interesting ones (1984)I actually read. I didn't use it for the SAT.

In fact I didn`t study for the SAT at all, I really never saw the point of memorizing a thousand words when only two of them will be on the test. And my results back that statement up.

i'm sure that would help a little bit, but reading real books will help it more than those books ever could. plus, it`ll help you in college ;)

Ah sparknotes. They have helped me look like I read books that I didn't.
