@ InTheNameOf: I agree. I really don't want a guy who wears magic underwear having his finger on The Nuclear Button.

The mormon (or is that moron?) religion is just silly. Well, I guess the same can be said of all religions but that one is even more absurd than most. I hope he does not really believe that stuff. It's scary to think that somebody so gullible and with such poor reasoning skills could be president.

@HolyGod: Ah, yes, I answered you literally.

The concept that the government can "spend it's way out" of a recession is nonsense to me (my personal opinion again). For every dollar redistributed, an estimated $5 is losr to the bureaucracy. Source

To me, then, it would seem that the most reasonable method of economic recovery would be for the government to simply cut spending (ahem, wars for example) massively and reduce taxation across the board.

My reasoning comes from both research and experience. I had a friend who took out over $100k on loans for a private college; he always said it was OK because he would be able to pay it back later (and then some). He was counting on later rather than looking at the now.

Today, he can barely afford his apartment; My opinion is that simply being frugal is the best option.
