Muslims ALL have no problem with these ideas. That's just asinine @5cats. It`s like saying all Christians have no problem with women being stoned if they aren`t virgins when they`re married.

I'm not seeing how they`re so pissed about sexualizing Islam didn`t Mohammed screw a 9 year old??
That`s unclear. He married her, but marriage involving rich and/or powerful people in early medieval times was often a social, financial and/or political arrangement completely unlike our modern ideas of marriage. Which means that it can`t simply be assumed that there was anything sexual about it.
Someone who knows a little more might point out the word "consummated", but obviously that`s not in the Koran because it`s not written in Rnglish. "consumated" means "completed" and so it`s quite possible that the Arabic word translated as "consummated" doesn`t have any sexual connotations. It was common for a marriage to occur in three parts back then - engagement, marriage part 1 (betrothal) and marriage part 2 (completion of the marriage ceremony, which could happen years later).

@EmagehtmaI: Good point! Many 'westerners` fail to understand that different cultures don`t beilieve the same as us. Beat women & children? Have 4 wives? NO free speach? NO free religion? Arrest Gays? ALL are foundations of Islam: Muslims ALL have no problem with these ideas.

Remember, guys: it doesn't make sense to us that they blame the US over a film made by an independent filmmaker, but in their world, they do not recognize our concept of freedom of speech. Here, we can and do question different aspects of religion, because that is our constitutional right. In many Muslim countries, Islamic law is the law of the land, and the freedom to freely criticize Islam does not exist. So in their eyes, it`s our fault for letting it happen. They`re still wrong, I`m just trying to explain how they think. It didn`t make sense to me, either until I thought it through.
