5Cats: Yes, it was an anti-nuclear propaganda film, but not just against bombs. It's part of the reason we don`t have more nuclear power plants in America.
What infuriates me are the `Green` eco-nuts that demand we stop burning coal and stop using crude oil, but also get their panties in a twist over building clean nuclear power plants.
Wind, Solar and Hydro power can`t ever reliably meet our current power needs, let alone allow for the growth we will soon need for more electricity.
I`ve linked to and posted information about the thorium fuel cycle and it`s promise of cheap, reliable, safe and low-radiation power. We already have the technology to build them, no big scary looking cooling towers will be needed, neither will there be a need for huge containment vessels. Thorium is cheap and plentiful and the `waste` has a short half-life and is not dangerous.
