I always thought the men's 100m would be more spread out. Flo-Jo? come on, you`re all thinking the same thing. As for the field events dropping. That`s drug testing for you.

The discus probably doubled because, either they throw a different discus, or they used advances in physics to figure out how to throw it most efficiently.
