How does ballistic fingerprinting of new guns that had only been around for 10 years solve 10 to 20 year old cases. Also what good is microstamping when it can be defeated by removing the stamp with a file. And considering that the computer program failed to match bullets and casings 38% of the time it is no wonder that NYS has dropped CoBIS and is no longer pursuing microstamping. That's right the ballistic fingerprinting program no longer exists in NYS.

I'm tired of everyone being up in arms regarding the amount of ammo he bought. I own guns and I shoot competitions. To me 6000 rounds is a drop in the bucket. I buy 10000 rounds at a time and shoot close to 60000 a year. I know people that go through half a million or more in a year.
Also why is anyone surprised that he was able to buy 4 guns legally. He passed his back ground check because he had no criminal record. Maybe the government should start keeping a closer eye on you so called law abiding citizens. It would make me feel better if the cops goose stepped around in jack boots. I know we`ll get Hugo Boss to design their uniforms.

@Angilion
Would you like to explain how someone could easily kill a dozen people and injure dozens more in a few minutes, using only a pencil as a stabbing weapon?

Practice.

@whodat6484: Yeah... that's nice. I bought my .45 from "a guy" at a gun show. Paid cash.
