I think they should take the line out of the equation too.. anyone can do it with a line, it takes skill to do it without. Both should have gone up at the same time and came down side by side. That would have been really cool.

From what I read about this, and heard through other shows and whatnot, is that the cars were only going about 50-55mph, in order to keep the suspensions from bottoming out, creating drag, and causing a nasty wreck.
Also, the way the second car pogo'd when it landed means the tires were seriously overinflated, probably 70-80psi, and the suspension stiffened to the point that it barely compressed.
Not all that impressive when you figure in the engineering, but I still wouldn`t want to be in the car.
