Ha! Grad '77. The Valedictorian announced his engagement to the Prom Queen and chugged a 26er of whiskey. He promptly passed out and fell into the bonfire. He wasn`t there more than ten minutes . . . we know how to party in British Columbia!

niceguy191: "Maybe it's a Canadian thing, but our grad party was a school organized event. Anyone over 18 could attend (since the drinking age is 18 in Alberta) and any alcohol needed to be submitted ahead of time in a cooler. We were all bussed out to a previously undisclosed location (so nobody could crash the party) where we had a large shop converted into a dance floor with a DJ. A bar was set up where you could get the booze from your cooler through parent volunteers. Port-a-potties and a bonfire and everything, it was a great time and everyone got bussed home (buses where every hour or so I think) so there was no risk of drunk driving."
damn hippy, Socialist heath-care nanny state liberal Canadians!!
