@Tiredofnicks Well "grind so that you can do more grinding" is another way of saying that there is a guaranteed progression in the game. The alternative to this is luck/random based progression. True - grinding gets boring. But random progression (random drops for instance) makes you feel that you can get stuck forever... which it can, but is not likely.
For some reason Blizz felt that taking the player skill completely out of the equation will make D3 a better game. The logic eludes me...
