Its better done with Metexa, as it crystallizes when its on low temp. Let the watermelon abosrb as much metexa as possible, then refrigerate the watermelon for min 2 hrs. Cut open, each slice will be shiny and sparkly because of the frozen metexa. Not to mention how drunk you will be after 2-3 pieces.

If you chose to do this let prople know that there is alcohol in it just incase some one has alcohol problems or there are children near by. I had some and never noticed the alcohol in it till I was trashed, it did not take much.

Watch out, if you use a pooty cheap vodka and you leave it for more than 24 hours, it will rot at super speeds and taste like it, too. My roommate and her friends were idiots.
Prepare yourselves though and do it the day before. It takes a looong time, but SO yummy. My mom had a recipe that you just cut up the watermelon the night before in a mixture of vodka, sugar and mint leaves. Mmmm fantastic <3
