Don't go to the ER, go to urgent care if at all humanly possible. You`ll still have to wait, but it`s waiting 1-2 hours vs 8 for a non life-threatening.

no, waiting means you will just take longer to die than them, which could probably be worse. f ucktard administration...

My mom had a life threatening condition only a few months ago. They took her pulse and blood pressure and immediately started treating her at the ER. I don't think they even knew whether or not she had insurance at the time because it was pretty much instant (she didn`t have insurance nor the means of paying a medical bill fyi). They let my brother fill out the paperwork while they had already started working on her.
"Yes because the person to your left turning yellow isn`t in worse condition than the pregnant lady brought in by ambulance..." Um, if a pregnant woman is being brought to the /emergency room/ then I`m pretty sure she`s not having a normal, perfectly fine delivery and there`s an actual emergency. If you`re talking about just the hospital in general... fetus` can`t exactly be told to wait to be born.
