All you can eat is all you can eat. Cutting him off is false advertisement. On the other hand, every business reserves the right to refuse service to anyone (before they actually START doing business with him). They're perfectly within their right to not do business with a man whose going to eat them out of business or refuse product/service to someone with an unpaid tab. They chose to stop serving him mid-meal instead. The restaurant held all the cards, and played them completely wrong.

"All you can eat" means all you care to eat, not "all we care to serve you". Yes, he's fat. No, he shouldn`t eat that much. None of that matters. If you offer AYCE, you`d better damn well be ready to back it up!
