The point about getting choked up is because a bunch of relative young people chose to do something nice for a human being that life has not been to nice to to begin with.
Its a wonderful gesture, and its enforced by the fact that these aren't grown adults with life experience and knowledge that comes from a long life.
Its very easy for a teenager to sho away from whats abnormal, but here a group has decided to instead embrace.
Huge thumbs up, and a big middle finger for anyone that decided this was a bad thing

As I can see with most of the comments left here, people are getting meaner and meaner towards handicapped... can't say I never saw this comming the way our society is evolving.
No time to take care of the handicapped in your family because of your work and if you don`t work and do take care of one you just can`t do what you want because you`re the only one taking care of that person (there won`t be anyone else taking your place because they`re too busy with their work and their lives) and you just can`t leave that person by herself, it would be just mean.
You can call social services but the quality of the service is always questionable and there are always consequences if you call someone else to the rescue. So we try to hide the fact that the life of handicapped people is the lowest of lows by giving them all sorts of bonus and gifts... and people hate them/abuses them because of that.

Why would I get choked up? I mean, other than the fact that we live in a society where everyone who has a condition like this is treated with the utmost pity. Yeah, that's pretty drating sad.
