And how do you think the banks ended up with all that money?
Because banks are able to issue loans when you put money in your account. They aren't your personal piggy bank that will keep your money until you need it.
A bank is a business and not a welfare institution.
Why should they support the small business with a high default risk? Sure a new business creates jobs but if it defaults those are gone and the bank that gave the loan got nothing if they don`t have colateral.

@banur: You haven't understood a thing.

The fact that privately owned and profit oriented corporations wield near absolute power over 97% of the money supply is the reason we`ve had a bubble-bust economy for the last 100+ years. As this documentary explaines, managing the money supply in a way that is profitable for the banks themselves is unsustainable by it`s very nature, because the debt that is nessecarily created in the process crashes the economy.

There is not a single word about those who enable the banks to issue loans: the stupid people that want to buy and to buy NOW! but lack the money.

Sigh... Please think before you speak..
Most people don`t take out loans on things they don`t need. The bulk of all loans are for houses or cars, or small businesses that are expanding. In those cases, being able to take a loan nessecary.

Gerry if you want to learn something new, don't watch it. It`s a waste of time.
But it made me chuckle a few times.

Basicly it`s the same `Banks are evil, they create money out of nothing` yadda yadda over and over again.
There is not a single word about those who enable the banks to issue loans: the stupid people that want to buy and to buy NOW! but lack the money.

One solution was to have two bank accounts: one which the bank can use to lend and the other that they can`t touch. I was like hey we already got that! Just stuff the money into your mattress, they can`t touch it there!

The lady said she fears her nieces and nephews have to actually `work hard to have a roof over their head and keep it`. POOOOO! Work hard?!
