@5cats--I can accept incestuous love. It's gross to me and I`d never engage in it...but it doesn`t hurt me in any way for them to be together. And if they`re both consenting, they can go for it. Same with polygamy.
However, that`s where your "slippery slope" falls apart. Children and animals aren`t capable of giving consent and therefore pedophilia and bestiality aren`t "soon to follow".

Like the article mentions, this isn't uncommon when family members separated at birth meet in their adult life.
Think about it. People have a tendency to be attracted to those who look more like themselves. You`re an adult, and you meet this woman, and she`s incredibly attractive to you, she likes similar things, has a personality much like yours and gets along great with you. Prime relationship material, right?
Whoops, you`re related. Then you`re faced with the same decision as these two. What do you do?
