"@jkfld, this is pure propaganda, and has nothing to do with this I-A-B post."
The cartoon (which uses the data from this poll) specifically contrasts the number of Americans who would vote for a Mormon to the number who would vote for an atheist. My post addresses the question implied by the juxtaposition of the two numbers: "How can it be that America is so much more willing to elect someone who believes in a clearly fraudulent and regressive religion than someone who rejects religion altogether?"
Sadly I think you're equating the empirical study of observable things with your philosophy concerning its interpretation. Science can never disprove the supernatural because it does not (and cannot) measure the supernatural. If we are all weak-minded, as you say, because of a faith we sincerely believe and trust, then you have proven to me at least one portion of the Bible; that the wisdom of God is foolishness to humankind.

Madest Like the socialist propaganda you have been brainwashed to believe? ----------------- Sometimes I like to think that Europeans are onto something cool and then they open their mouths and nonsense pours out. Exactly how is America socialist my small government minded friend and what exactly is it about socialism that you're trying to equate to me? In my mind religion is a fairy tale for the weak. Until the day comes that science can verify that there is indeed a God then this ride called life is nothing more than a fluke. Wasting time studying a tale that can be scientifically proven wrong a million different ways makes their remaining followers beyond dumb. But it seems that`s the world we live in.
