@auburnjunky - yeah, I know what films he's made. And Memento is still the only one that`s really worthy of note. Insomnia was bland, the Prestige is alright but nothing special, and Following is alright for an unknown (as he essentially was when he made it). And don`t even start me on Inception - using an over-complicated "big concept" (all of the interesting parts of which were pretty much blown in the trailer) to hide the fact that that you can`t even coherently plot a bog-standard heist movie is *NOT* impressive - far from it! And yes, I did understand what was happening. In fact, I found it hard to believe anyone had any trouble following it at all, since the story was so incredibly basic.
Nolan is little more than a slightly matured Guy Ritchie ... but then you probably think *he`s* good too...

"but I do think they're massively over-hyped for what is really a fairly uninspired adaptation of the source material. Chris Nolan really impressed when he made Memento, but nothing he`s done since has been very worthy of note."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Memento (which you mentioned) Insomnia The Prestige Inception Following (Before Memento. Most haven`t seen this)
I left out the Batman movies on purpose, but they aren`t any different. The man is a cavalcade of epic movie making!
