This is a dumb plan. Im all for getting more resources from space but gold and platnum? The world uses those as currency! Hasnt anyone heard of inflation? Immagine that but world wide leaving every country that doesnt harvest materials from asteroids flat broke. Also, the work conditions could be worse than those in labor camps because who could stop it?
Not a good idea. Not a good idea.

T-Rex: "I have a plan... we're running out of resources. Why don`t we get a big asteroid and steer it towards us. We`ll harvest the bounty at the Yucatan Peninsula."

Water is the bigger prize here. With water you can make liquid hydrogen and oxygen in space...fuel and breathable atmosphere created from asteroids.

Pretty incredible.

Never mind that we don't feed the starving of the world, don`t stop fighting each other, allow our elected ones to bend us over...let`s plough our billions into collecting water off a space rock.

They want to collect everything they can including minerals and fossil fuels so you look pretty petty trying to twist it to sound more in line with your point of view. Someone tries to find a way to solve one problem and all you can say for yourself is how bad they are for not solving other problems? At least they are trying something. Just when is the last time you did something amazing or great that potentially helps millions of people in ANY way. You`re pathetic.
