Yo I-A-B,
Just want to give another shout out to Kitteh9Lives for pretty much programming everything on I-A-B this past Saturday. I made Pizza Cat in her honor. Then ate it and felt shitty about the high caloric intake. Best link on Saturday for me? The one about the 6-year-old girl who was cuffed and taken to the police station. It was the subject of debate at the bar with me and friends later that night.
There was an elementary school teacher with us who works in a pretty bad part of Los Angeles. She's taught kindergarten through 4th grade and admits that kids--even at 6--get violent and uncontrollable. Read the headline and it sounds like the teachers and cops overreacted with the cuffs, but then you read beyond the headline and you realize the situation called for handcuffs and a trip downtown. In the end, blame the parents--it's always the parents.
One last thing. I want to give MAJOR PROPS to Madest. After two-bad ass years, this past weekend were his last days as an I-A-B Mod. He's been promoted at work and the extra responsibility is going to take up his fucking-around time on I-A-B. He'll still be around as a user though, so look for him in the forums.
OK, that's it. Thanks to everyone who's added I-A-B's Facebook Fanpage to their daily feed. We're at 13,000 and climbing right now, but J-Dog wants it to be 20,000 by June. LOL. We might hit 20k--if we buy people. Did you know that? There are some fan pages that buy ads to bump their Facebook Like numbers. Isn't that, oh, I dont know bullshit? Fuck that, I'd rather I-A-B have 13,000 earned readers that want to be here than a million readers that were bought.
Meh, whatever.
