Another Pathetic Prom Date Request [Pic]. I`ve always said, if you have to pull these kinds of stunts for prom or marriage proposals, you`re probably really dull.

Actually, I did a big proposal. I got all of mine and her friends to come out and hide in the back section of the bar we met in. (yes, I proposed to her in a bar, where we met and had our first kiss) I also knew the band, and they let me get her up on stage to sing (She'd done it before and she has a hell of a voice) with them. Before she started, I cut her off and had all her and my friends come up to the stage all at once. Then I proposed. She said she couldn`t imagine a better way for me to have done it, and now we`re set to be married in December. So, it all depends on the girl, the timing and every other random factor that goes into every relationship. Sometimes it`s better to go small and private. Sometimes girls want flashy ordeals. If you really love the girl, you`ll know what she wants.

Hey now, idk about putting proposals and asking someone to prom in the same category Mr./Ms./Mrs. posting person. One is asking someone to attend an event with you/maybe touch your genitals after (Really that's mostly always a goal in life as a dude).
The other is (supposed to be) asking one to make a life long commitment and possibly contribute 50% of your child`s genes and bear your kid. I`d hope one`s methods of asking would differ between the two.
Either way though, chicks can be weird at times. They`re somewhat less pragmatic in those situations. That`s why something as horrible as romantic comedies can exist. They find stuff like that charming and endearing and w/e, even if we look at it as ridiculous. Again, kind of like romantic comedies...
That`s ok though. As with many gender issues, female romanticism works well to counter male cynicism. At least usually. No doubt sometimes it`s tough to not be cynical, gender aside.
