Whatever makes gay people feel better about themselves. My hypothesis is gay people are narcissistic and want all the attention brought to them that's why they are all flamboyant
Your hypothesis is based on a false predicate and is therefore false.
Maybe the gay people *who you notice and class as being gay* are all flamboyant, but there are many others who you don`t notice and/or don`t class as being gay. If you have an unremarkable interaction (e.g. walking past in the street, buying something in a shop, stuff like that) an average-looking man who is doing unremarkable things, you won`t assume he`s gay. That doesn`t mean that he isn`t.
Basically, most people are quite boringly ordinary regardless of their sexual orientation.

@Otto67 I thin the best way to determine the answer to that is by investigating different places and cultures where it is legal, what regulations they have in place, and what the general consensus is. Prostitution isn't a new fad. We have the advantage of being able to look at history, different cultures, and different countries for an appropriate response.
I am of the opinion that if something is illegal, society has no control over it. Of course it would need to be regulated, that would be the direct benefit. We will always have it, the question is do we want some form of control over it or leave it like it is now, illegal but readily available with no regulation.
