Hey there fellow I-A-Bers, Experimenting prior to making this video I found it very surprising to discover that an under-inflated balloon could absorb the shock from an ordinary sized firecracker. I fully expected the balloon to pop. This is something I had wondered about as a child and finally had an opportunity to test it out. I must admit though that there were a couple of times where the firecracker did make the balloon pop. I suspect that either paper or a bit of clay used to make the firecracker shot out and punctured a hole thus popping it.
