At around the 5:05 mark, [Chris] Anderson says "Quantum theory adds a whole new wrinkle ... I mean, the theory`s been proven beyond all doubt." Theories can`t be proven true! I`m disappointed that an intellectual such as Anderson makes such a statement. I know it`s a seemingly small thing he says for convenience - and his audience`s sake - but it perpetuates the notion that empirical falsification should be absconded in favor of `proof`. All that does is make the scientist`s job harder and, in our world, more politicized. Ugh. Okay, I`m done.

Or, they want us to develop our own ideas in case we think of something they never thought of. Or maybe we`re the most advanced species, and we will be the ones to discover others.
