It's a bit more complicated. People spend money on making movies/ect., thousands of dollars most times. Ya you can just copy what they made and you`re not taking the original from them but you`re still viewing and using it without the creator getting back what they put into it. Now obviously this isn`t too big of a problem when it`s companies that make billions of dollars but I gotta imagine that small companies/artists do suffer because of pirating.

Im sure he understands copyright very well, theres just no point in equating the theft of a physical object (once its gone, you no longer have it in your possesion) to digital piracy (once its pirated, its still available to its original owner)as most laws on the books have done.
