Female Bald Eagles fly upside down to initiate their mating ritual, as she flips upside down her power of flight is lost. A successful male suitor will swoop down and catch her by her talons. Then, talons locked, they will begin to spin end over end until just before they make impact. Afterwards the Eagles are lifelong mates.
