reminds me of what I used to do to one of my nephews. I would pretend to cry and he would stare at my face and start to cry too. Then I would stop and he would instantly smile again. Back and forth like that. Also reminds me of another time when I was at a party where a little kid was running around. He fell down and hit his head on a floor fan and the mother said right away "nobody say anything!" The kid looked around at all of us, saw us making no big deal about it and he just went about his business never crying at all. Kids take their cues from their environment. That's why kids who are smothered by their parents are so screwed up and incapable of dealing with life on their own.
