Real programmers don't listen to music ? Wtf?
Nothing like a code frenzy in time with the thudding base (sha-lah-lah-lah). It`s good fun, stream of code sort of thing, as close to the coding idyll as you can get. AND it keeps the users and people who don`t know how to pronounce DATA out of your hair.
Mind you I`m a PL/SQL data whore, well into my second decade of coding, I guess you youngsters have such sh*t music, you can`t code (..to it).

If you are talking about some flavor of unix it already has. I had to use a power book pro for work at a job. It actually had a decent unix setup that ran everything we needed regarding jboss and it's services. I think I spent 99% of my time on that apple in a console window.
