The thickness of the glass wherein the wine is kept for storage or decanting isn't of influence to the taste (if you are not a nitpicker that is). It`s only the drinkingglass that has to be as thin as possible. It has to do with the contactarea when touching the glass with your lips.

you don`t put wine in a carafe.. it`s called a decanter. stop talking about things you obviously don`t know about.
And the wine bottle is made from what?? Oh ya common glass! I should mention it's a red so you see how stupid it is cause if you wanna be a wine snobus you`d put it in a carafe before complaining the glass isn`t crystal. It`s all really BS to get your money and give an excuse to act snobby cause the differences are laughable.
