What does that have to do with anything? You want them to do their job properly when it matters, so you should ignore it when they do their job badly at other times? That's utterly ridiculous. Knowing what is and is not legal should be a basic requirement of being a cop. This guy was citing wiretapping law without knowing what it covers.
