"A lot of groups are discriminated against based on the choice of how they look, and they don't have any special rights or protections, how is that any different ?"

Wait? Goths aren`t allowed to marry each other?

I wasn't recommending it to make you feel better. I`ll shut up. It`s none of my business.

I make these "assumptions" CrakrJak because you make a lot of gay people on here uncomfortable with your comments about gay people. I'm no saint. I have made religious people uncomfortable with some of my comments about religion. Why don`t you go back and talk to your friend. Ask him if you or your friends did anything that would have caused him to leave the circle. If you were as good as you say you were around him it shouldn`t be a problem. Maybe he read into things like you say I do. If so you could set his mind free. I will freely admit I am no expert in this area. I had a trauma free life up until age 38 where I had a crash course in the bad side of life. Something made your friend leave. It could be as simple as he wanted to leave his old life. And you guys were just collateral damage.

markust: After 20 years and several moves, hundreds of miles away, since then, I'm not concerned about it anymore. I`d rather let sleeping dogs lay than potentially cause a stir.
