@kingpong, PP isn't under a criminal investigation. They are under a congressional investigation. I don`t support t-shirt companies that operate under a guise of charity. I hope they hang themselves a bit more.

Anyway, please don't stop donating to SGK. They are already facing funding shortages due to the current economic environment and they are already seeing a drop in donations. PP`s grants that were cut were for pass-throughs and referrals, SGK is trying to save lives and what PP was using the money for just wasn`t doing the job properly. The drop in donations seen will invariably result in a loss of life. That`s why this garbage bothers me. Misinformation like this will indirectly cost many men and women their lives.

First of all, SGK didn't ever drop funding to PP. It was only in areas where there were already more effective programs than those PP had to offer. These better programs received grants instead. Several PP affiliates continued to receive grants.
Second, the decision to remove funding was primarily due to SGK`s decision not to fund anyone undergoing a criminal investigation. PP was not the only group to be disqualified for funding, they were just the only vocal group as most people like to keep quiet about these kinds of internal issues.
Though SGK is a charity, they have to act like a business if they want to meet their goals. They are currently shifting their goals away from awareness and education to a more research and healing based goal. Not all PP affiliates lost funding, but the ones that did, did so because they were offering an inferior product. It has zero to do with the fact that PP are the abortion people. It can easily be evidenced that SGK has no is
